2 The following may be mentioned as examples:

Transport contributions and placing of means of transport at the disposal of the Allies; postal services, telegraphs and telephones; contributions in the form of furniture and fittings, and household effects; buildings and ground belonging to private individuals; hotel rooms, temporary occupation by troops on the march; heat, lighting and supply of water; supply of copies of newspapers and publications; upkeep of soldiers' graves and military cemeteries; office supplies; shooting and fishing rights, etc. It should be noted that in regard to shooting and fishing rights a Special Mixed Commission was set up to decide claims under this head. Some of the decisions of this Commission are printed in vol. I, pp. 160175, of the publication referred to in the text.

3 The Commission of Interpretation sat in Berlin between 1926 and 1929 and gave a large number of awards. One hundred of these decisions, given between 26 May, 1926, and 13 July, 1929, are printed in the French and German languages in a collection...
