The Facts.—The magistrate of the court in Brasso, a town ceded to Roumania by virtue of the Treaty of Trianon, ordered an investigation to be held against E. S. in the matter of alleged corruption and fraud committed by him during the tenure of office in the years 1920 and 1921 before the Treaty of Trianon entered into force. It appeared that the accused exercised effectively in 1922 the right of opting for Hungarian nationality, that he transferred his residence to Hungary, and that he was recognised as a Hungarian national both by Hungarian and Roumanian authorities.
